open in viewerThe current study is part of the forecasting phase of a proposed technology assessment. This report represents the literature review phase of an effort to predict what the moon and near space would look like thirty years from now if the USA and People's Republic of China (PRC) had a space race to the moon. Another objective of the project is to assess the likelihood that competition rather cooperation in space will prevail. The following is a review of the past and present activities of the USA, Russia and Chinese space programs.
