High resolution dynamic scene generation and target tracking
PublicEnhancing experiments in adaptive optics compensation in the field of directed energy, the design of a high-resolution dynamic Target Scene Generator (TSG) replaced earlier technologies. The project consisted of an optical test bench, TSG hardware, TSG software, tracking software, and target scenes. Applications were written in C utilizing user space, kernel space, real-time and interprocess communication programming techniques under Linux. A Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) served as TSG hardware and target scenes were created using Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML).
