An Optical interface for high speed network encryption

Public

This project involved research, design and implementation of a high speed network interface, capable of handling a bi-directional 622 Mb/s synchronous optical network channel. This interface is designed to operate as part of a larger "network encryption" device to secure long distance data communication. The work for this project was completed in cooperation with, and partly at Universitat Gesamthochschule Siegen, Germany. All goals of the project were completed successfully, resulting in a fully functional network interface.
