Computer visualization of music
PublicA software system for comparing music is discussed, designed and implemented. The system extracts feature from a group of songs, compares all pairs, and visually represents the relationships between the songs in a way that can be manipulated by the user. The end result achieved is a proof of concept. The method being used, comparing songs based on the relative average intensity of various frequencies, produces a better measure of similarity than a purely random distribution.
