Analysis of the delayed hypersensitive response in Arabidopsis thaliana Di-3 plants after inoculation with the hypersensitive mutant of the turnip crinkle virus, D4N

Public

This study further characterizes a delayed response of Di-3 A. thaliana, in comparison to Di-17 plants, after inoculation with D4N. Northern analysis of the pathogenesis-related protein, PR-1 mRNA (a precursor to the HR) , was performed over a time course of 0-7 dpi, encompassing PR-1 expression both prior to and after the appearance of HR. Additionally, the production of active oxygen species, another precursor to the HR, was measured in Di-3 plants, with D4N over a time course of 0-5 dpi.
