Range finding with air transducers

Public

The purpose of this MQP is to design and implement an ultrasound-based rugged range finding system that utilizes piezo-electric air transducers. The application is collision avoidance. This project involves the design and implementation of system components: the transmitter, composed of a burst generator, power amplifier, and a[n] AC-DC converter; the receiver, composed of a soft-limiting amplifier, filter, and A-D converter; the digital signal processing, which utilizes analytical cross correlation, and the controller, composed of VHDL firmware, ISA Bus, and software.
