The HAPPI system was created to harness the media potential of the over one thousand projects completed each academic year. It automates the mundane task of producing and sending press releases to local newspapers, increasing the number of distributed press releases. This will provide WPI with a larger public presence in the United States and a positive effect on enrollment and reputation. The HAPPI system was developed in VB utilizing ODBC database connectivity and OLE Automation for Microsoft Word and Outlook.
