Reduction of inbound air transportation costs at Caribe General Electric.
PublicContenu téléchargeable
open in viewerThe goal of this IQP was to reduce the inbound transportation costs at Caribe General Electric's ten manufacturing plants in Puerto Rico by forty percent. To accomplish this goal, we observed air transportation routines at the plants and conducted interviews at the four plants that spent the most on air transportation. We then created recommendations based on the problems observed at these plants. In addition we addressed the societal impacts of our recommendations in the form of resistance to change.
