Lean manufacturing cell development at Teradyne

Public

Our project goal at Teradyne Connection Systems was to design, analyze and implement a lean manufacturing cell for Work Center Customer Development (WCCD) that would reduce cycle time while maintaining quality and employee and customer satisfaction. Entering the project, WCCD operated in a batch environment that caused long cycle times, resulting in missed shipments and customer dissatisfaction. Lean concepts were applied, analyzed and proven successful. Recommendations were submitted to Teradyne to support implementation of a productive Lean Manufacturing Cell.
