In this project, we created a client-server framework that allows large computations to be shared among many computers on the Internet. These computations are separated into small pieces by a server. Each piece is then provided to an Internet user via a Java applet. The Java applet completes the piece of the computation and reports its results back to the server. With multiple users contributing to one computation, the computation can be completed much faster than on only one computer.
