Differentiating viable from non-viable (dead) bacteria on a slide using fluorescent microscope and different kinds of fluorescent dyes

The goal of this project was to differentiate viable from non-viable (dead) bacteria using various kinds of fluorescent dyes such as propidium iodide (PI), 4-6-diamindino-2-phenylindole (DAPI), and a commercial LIVE/DEAD Baclight Bacterial Viability kit. Many problems emerged because there were some problems with various approaches to the photography.
