Rainwater Harvesting In Windhoek, Namibia

open in viewerNamibia is currently facing a water scarcity crisis, due to physical and social factors. For people living in informal settlements, rainwater harvesting is one way to ameliorate this situation. This project's goal was to use a participatory approach to develop a method for rainwater harvesting within the informal settlements of Windhoek. In addition, the related water policy issues were examined to provide a broader context for Namibia's current water crisis.
