open in viewerThis booklet dives into the fragmented refugee outreach environment in Arizona. It first identifies the main reasons why government outreach towards refugee communities are lower than the national average: a general mistrust in government institutions, and a strong language barrier that creates a lack of awareness and isolation. Through multiple independent- partnerships, interviews, and literary reviews, this group produced materials in order to bridge the gap in communication between government and refugee communities. Specifically, a targeted video and outreach program that identified the critical stakeholders in Arizona’s refugee outreach environment. These deliverables were done in order to recommend a way to strengthen the bonds and networks between stakeholders.
