Improving Alianza Verdes
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerIn the region of Monteverde, Costa Rica, Alianza Verdes implemented a local currency, Verdes, in January 2020 to foster a circular economy. The currency had initial success, however during our research period, Verdes had limited use. Our team was tasked with revitalizing the currency’s use by creating educational resources. Our methods included surveying and interviewing Verdes users, interviewing local currency directors worldwide, and assessing Alianza Verdes’s informational website. Through our research, we found an informational gap between Verdes users and the resources available to them. Our team provided improved educational resources such as: an informational website, video and infographic tutorials, and storefront information.
