With the construction of the Foisie Innovation Studio, that first opened its doors in August of 2018, our goal was to analyze how Worcester Polytechnic Institute could better support students interested in innovation and entrepreneurship projects in a matter that aligned with WPIs unique project-based learning programs, expertise, and future goals. In the past, there have been no project centers at WPI that solely focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. Students who are interested in innovative project work do not have an opportunity to research, develop, test, and iterate their concepts for credit outside of the IQP or MQP. As a result, we aimed to develop appropriate recommendations that the Institution could easily integrate into their plan.

• This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
