Data mining with TinFOIL

Public

TinFOIL is a machine learning system that was created to improve upon J.R. Quinlan's FOIL algorithm. The TinFOIL system distills first-order logic rules from examples and can be used to mine data from large databases. We discuss the operation of the TinFOIL algorithm. Our experimental evaluation of TinFOIL is described, including results obtained on the Census Database, which has been used as a measure of many other machine learning systems.
