Developing and Validating an Endometriosis Diagnostic Test
PublicContenu téléchargeable
open in viewerEndometriosis is a disorder that affects 10-15% of reproductive aged individuals assigned female at birth (Liu, et al., 2020). Current diagnostic methods are invasive, inaccessible, and subjective. An objective and non-invasive method is crucial toward improving the quality of life of patients. This paper details the creation of a urinalysis device capable of diagnosing endometriosis by quantifying the concentration of sFlt-1 to creatinine. This device is a proof of concept that is capable of changing the diagnostic process for endometriosis.
