A Study detailing the relationship between watershed development and in-lake phosphorous

Public

This project takes an in-depth look at water quality characteristics and land use data to determine the relationship between in-lake phosphorus and watershed development. Completed on eight lakes in southern Maine, this study and a model computing soil loss and phosphorus loading have been created to quantify the effects of urban development and their impacts on the quality of our lakes. Also, several methods, such as BMPs, are presented to reduce these impacts.
