Chemical Synthesis Automation Public
The Chemical Synthesis Automation team continued the work of previous MQPs towards developing a robot platform that can automate steps of a chemical synthesis process. We examined the robot’s equipment and reaction mechanisms to ideate an intuitive user interface by which chemists can input synthesis instructions. We designed a graphical LabView interface for manual input, and proposed constructing an intermediate language to compile the input into a finite state machine.
