Tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) /methyltriethoxysilane (MTMOS) derived silica xerogels

Public

The project involved creating xerogels using the Sol-Gel method. The main focus of the project was to see if changing the weight percentage of Silicalite has any effect on the mechanical properties of the xerogel. The primary application of the xerogel would be in the gas separation field where its low energy requirements and compact features will eventually replace some of the conventional separation processes such as extraction and distillation.
