This project considers Scientific American in the late 1860s. The project team indexed volumes 14 to 21 of the New Series to be added to the online database of images and fixed significant problems that had hindered access to the database over a number of years. The team also examined changes in the magazine itself in these years, specifically the rise of general scientific discussions in a magazine previously devoted to inventions.
