Holy Name High School: Mathematics Curriculum

open in viewerWe worked with Holy Name High School to improve mathematics scores on the SAT. A diagnostic test with SAT and ACT questions was administered to approximately 160 students. A statistical analysis was then performed on the results in order to determine significant deficiencies. Problem-based learning was implemented in experimental lessons. The effectiveness of these lessons was examined via pre-class and exit surveys. Using these results we formulated several recommendations for the teachers to improve the students' math scores.
