open in viewerThis IQP investigated sustainable technology implementation within the rural Namibian village Edundja. Employing a mixed-methods approach, qualitative insights were gathered through in-depth interviews, exploring participants' experiences and perspectives. Technical assessments including soil analysis and land surveying were conducted to understand the interplay between human practices and environmental factors. This report provides a comprehensive understanding of technological and educational needs in Edundja. For example, the school system lacks proper resources to educate the learners and the village youth are primarily interested in technology and the outside world. Findings contributed valuable insights to the Edundja Smart Village Project and advocated for investment into the village’s school system to promote sustainability.
