open in viewerViolence against women (VAW) is a devastating global problem. Good People Act Now (GPAN) is a VAW prevention program located in Broadmeadows, Australia, an area with very high rates of family violence. The goal of this project was to establish a stronger evidence base for GPAN to support their peer-led youth education and outreach approaches. To reach this goal, we identified 32 relevant organizations, interviewed seven professionals, and reviewed five webinars. The project resulted in identifying evidence-based practices to prevent VAW, including methods addressing gender equity, incorporating youth leadership, using scenarios and storytelling, and tailoring lessons to the audience.
