open in viewerDespite their large population, refugees are underrepresented members of the community in Worcester. We assisted the nonprofit, Refugee Artisans of Worcester (RAW), in their mission to archive the cultural heritage of their members. Interviewing archivists and curators revealed best archival practices, highlighted the demand for institutions to represent diverse groups, and identified the need to create and market a permanent archive. We outlined a comprehensive guide to assist RAW in displaying and honoring their members’ stories and artwork.
