PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerEnergize Worcester discovered and analyzed factors within student properties that cause excessive energy consumption. The goal was to understand student perceptions and routines regarding their heating usage and identify landlord motivations for more efficient upgrades. Lack of landlord incentive to upgrade student properties and students’ disinterest in sustainable lifestyles were two prominent factors. A case was created to implement a new generation of smart heating systems, which would allow tenants more control over their heating systems while also increasing their properties’ sustainability.
