The Evolution of Materials in Arms and - Armors: Celtic Weaponry

open in viewerThe goal of this project is to investigate a specific ancient Celtic weapon known now as the falcata. Through careful research, investigate the connections between Celtic culture, geography, available technology, and the methods of manufacturing this weapon. Following the research, to share the process of recreating the falcata, and afterwards discuss the material analyses of the replica. Through reading this paper, the reader will develop a robust understanding of how this ancient Celtic weapon was made and used, as well as the similarities and differences to modern manufacturing techniques.
