In the fall of 2019, I was a student teacher at Shrewsbury High School. During this time I worked to fulfill requirements to receive my Massachusetts Initial Teaching Licensure in Secondary Mathematics Education. I also completed my Interactive Qualifying Project within this time. I worked with students grades 9-12 and taught Algebra, Geometry and Precalculus while at Shrewsbury High School. I worked with students of all different skill sets and backgrounds, including students who did not speak any English. I worked toward meeting proficiency in the 6 elements of education: well-structured lesson plans, adjustment to practice, meeting diverse needs, safe learning environment, high expectations and reflective practice. I showed growth in all of these elements through my 16 weeks at Shrewsbury High School. This was documents through reports by both myself and reports by Dr.Plonczak.
