公开可下载的内容
open in viewerThe Venetian retail sector has evolved since World War II. In 2004, students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute have studied this evolution of the stores, revealing at least 4506 shops in Venice of which 856 are now closed. Moreover, many residential stores have since been converted to cater tourists. Reasons for these changes include demographic decline, increase in tourists, and the advent of supermarkets. This year, store data in Castello was collected and a foundation for future conclusions was made.
