The cost of software engineering at eBay is extremely expensive. eBay needed an efficient way to produce software prototypes that trend, data mine, and explain anomalies in their data. The solution to this problem was to create a web-based software development kit that allows developers to produce and customize functional prototypes. A prototype is dynamically created from data sets based on the configuration of a specific database. Testing showed that our software development kit will save eBay's developers valuable time.
