Evaluation of the School Libraries of Himachal Pradesh
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerSchool libraries in Mandi District, Himachal Pradesh India have varying standards for library services. We evaluated 7 state government, 1 central government, and 3 private schools, using site visits and interviews. We found that state schools often lacked dedicated or engaging library programs. Central government and private schools promoted library services and positive student reading habits. To enhance library use, we recommend reading periods throughout the week, mobile library services, and adding comfortable reading spaces.
