PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerOur team of six students worked with GE Aviation in Manchester, Connecticut to improve the manufacturability of compressor stator vane assemblies. The team focused on three main issues: excess copper brazing, vane recambering, and discoloration experienced on honeycombed stators. The team utilized qualitative, quantitative, and process analysis methods to determine the root causes of these issues, which ultimately decreased the lead time and saved resources.
