Balancing an inverted pendulum through vibration

Public

Applying basic mechanical vibration theory, a kinematic coupling mechanism has been designed and built to use vibration to stabilize an inverted pendulum. The project required the development of a mathematical model of the stabilization effect, followed by the design and construction of a mechanism. The finished product was a functioning platform that may be used to demonstrate the principles of balancing an inverted pendulum.
