The design of a PIC based Real-Time Synthesizer that will play MIDI sequences in a performance environment is discussed. This device will incorporate a foot-pedal which will enable the tempo of the sequences being played back to be increased or decreased dynamically. Product requirements are laid out and the system design is explained.
