Magnetite Doped Carbon As A Substratum For Nerve Cell Culture
PúblicoConteúdo disponível para baixar
open in viewerA biocompatible, photoresist derived, thin carbon substrate has been recently developed which promotes nerve proliferation and differentiation. A method which alters the substrate's physical and electrochemical properties by doping photoresist with magnetite nanoparticles has been developed to enhance the existing substrate's ability to foster cell growth. Rat pheochromocytoma cells were used for culture to test substrate-cell interactions. Varying the nanoparticle concentration on the surface produced increased surface roughness, electrical conductivity, cell concentration and average neurite length.
