PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe social acceptance of nanomedicine was studied through a survey distributed to Worcester Polytechnic Institute students. There was no correlation between the acceptance of nanomedicine and the respondents' cognitive types or their risk behavior. Nonetheless, a significant result for public-relations strategies of nanomedicine was that the most influential factors for using a new medicine were: doctor's advice, clinical research, side effects, FDA approval of the medicine, information on package, and research journal.
