Implementing a Kanban Replenishment System & Retainable Rack Design For Large Fabrication Parts
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe goal of the first project is to develop a standard Kanban Supply Replenishment System for primary care supplies at Reliant Medical Group. This System is expected to decrease time for the medical assistants and reduce the inventory costs for the company. A pilot replenishment system was developed, tested and improved at their clinical site in Spencer, Massachusetts before being implemented in their other clinical sites. The goal of the second project is to design a new rack to help transport large fabrication parts for Caterpillar Suzhou, China. Using the information gathered from Caterpillar, a design criteria was established and a convergent design process used to narrow down three initial designs to one final optimum design.
