CAD based design modification functions for modular tube inspection fixtures
PublicUnigraphics based design modification functions were developed for modular fixture designs for tube inspection at the GE Aircraft Engine Facility in Hooksett, NH. A fixture design generated by existing computer-aided design system may have interfaces. The program developed in this project identifies the interference, trims the fixture stand bases in different modes, and relocates the assembly holes automatically. The program includes a user interface, interference checking, and algorithms for trimming and hole relocation. GE tests the system in real cases.
