This project entailed the creation of an emergent system that assists scholars in the electronic transcription and storage of ancient manuscripts, and allows the sharing of completed transactions through an online community for manuscript transcribers. The system includes a user-friendly interface that automatically detects words from a manuscript image, and the design and implementation of a self-mediating and self-propagating online community for transcription sharing.
