This study develops one potential design for a new town hall for the Town of Canton, Maine using specifications derived from the various parties and individuals involved with the building. The final suggested design is based on one of three prototype designs. The prototype designs were based on design requirements assessed from the Town of Canton by the designer through an understanding of the functional requirements needed in the building, through a survey, interviews with the town clerk and by appropriate building codes and specifications.
