Storying Climate Change
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe purpose of our project was to document the consequences of climate change and the environmental crisis on individuals in Hangzhou. We conducted observations while living in China and conducted semi-structured interviews with locals. Our results indicated that people are most affected by temperature increase, changing weather, and pollution. People believe that China’s rapid growth was detrimental to the environment, but the improvements to quality of life and education may help people face this issue. The results show that people adapt to changes, try to mitigate the effects, and trust the government to make sustainable policies. However, they believe this is a global issue that requires a worldwide effort to solve.
