PubblicoContenuto scaricabile
open in viewerThe goal of this project was to increase the earnings of informal waste collectors (IWCs) in Oshakati, Namibia by recommending a recycling processing system to add value to their collected materials. Through research, interviews, and cost-benefit analyses the project team discovered that a small-scale, solar-powered plastics and aluminum shredding machine funded by the Oshakati Town Council has the potential to more than quadruple IWC monthly earnings from their current state.
