Constellation-X mirror alignment automation
PubblicoConstellation-X is a mission being developed to collect X-ray radiation emitted from objects in deep space. Research and development of the mission is being completed at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center with a projected launch date of 2013. When launched, it will be the most powerful X-ray satellite in space with its mirrors numbering more than 16,000. Currently all of the mirrors are aligned manually. This project sought to develop an automated technique to align the mirrors.
