This research aims to investigate the stability and sensitivity of modified glassy carbon electrode with nanoparticles as well as its performance in the detection of glucose and lactate. The ultimate goal is to develop a non-enzymatic biosenser that overcomes such shortcomings of the traditional enzymatic biosensor. Two types of modification are applied to the electrode. First, the glassy carbon electrode is coated with multi-walled carbon nanotubes. Second, the glassy carbon electrode is coated with Pt nanoparticles deposited on multi-wall carbon nanotubes. Voltammetry and amperometry are used to study the electrodes’ performance.
