High speed decoupling

Public

The goal of this project, performed at Sycamore Networks, was to derive a practical set of guidelines for effective power filtering and decoupling in high-speed communications applications using a sampling of standard in-house capacitors. The date for the construction of these guidelines was collected through both rigorous experimentation as well as extensive simulation. These guidelines are aimed toward helping engineers maximize the little space available to them through effective capacitor placement as well as minimize cost by eliminating extraneous components.
