Promoting Sustainability of MusicWorks after 20 Years
Public DepositedDownloadable Content
open in viewerMusicWorks is a non-profit organization (NPO) dedicated to bringing music classes and music therapy to children in schools in Cape Town’s marginalized communities. Like many non-profits in Cape Town, the organization desires to expand its outreach but does not have access to the finances needed to accomplish this goal. To learn what strategies have been successful for other NPOs facing similar challenges, we interviewed individuals at ten non-profits across the Cape Town area. By conducting a comparative case study of these NPOs, we identified strategies that MusicWorks could implement to improve its financial sustainability in the future.
