Webfoot task manager

公开

Task management in a software engineering team is important to the communication and coordination of the team. The software development cycle uses task management to map requirements to an assigned task and organize them in a consistent way. The Webfoot Task Manager is an Eclipse plug-in that will interface with SourceForge task management system to make task management transparent between SourceForge and Eclipse. The Webfoot development environment is an umbrella project with a goal of providing collaborative tools for distributed software development teams, specifically in the academic setting. Webfoot integrates the Eclipse development environment with different collaborative development environments such as SourceForge. Webfoot offers task management, artifact management for trackers and documentation, communication and other collaboration tools. The Task Manager is a project that advances Webfoot's capabilities. Within the Task Manager, we develop our own notion of a Webfoot task for software teams to utilize. Software team members can use the Task Manager to create, view, modify and delete tasks for their projects from either SourceForge or Eclipse.
