Narrowing the Digital Divide: Technology and Legal Services
PublicLiveJustice, created by Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts, is an innovative website designed to assist low-income and elderly Worcester County tenants with their legal housing needs. LiveJustice links clients, specifically tenants and social services providers, directly with a legal advocate using a standard web browser. A convenience sampling of social services representatives, WPI students and consumers, or clients was used to determine the usability and feasibility of providing legal assistance to low-income and elderly persons in an online environment.
- This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
