The goal of this project is to create a digital web-camera device that will take a picture and send it when motion is detected. Our chip, the KC778B Master Passive Infrared (PIR) Chip made by CoMedia Limited, was used to build the motion sensing part of the design. Outputs of this chip are then sent to an IBM PC Camera, which takes a picture when an intruder enters a room. The intention of the project is to save the picture to a directory and interface it with software that would e-mail the photo to an individual.
