Eigenvalue equation approach to electromagnetism in inhomogeneous dielectric structures

Public

This project is a study of electromagnetics in the presence inhomogeneous dielectric functions using an eigenvalue equation. A review of the physics pertinent to the system is given followed by analogies to quantum mechanics. Finally, we apply the eigenvalue equation to a symmetric and an asymmetric waveguide.
